2014-09-25 15:12:21 dann frazier description [Impact] HP ProLiant m400 cartridges currently require kernel commandline arguments to properly initialize hardware. pci=firmware needs to be passed to stop the kernel from reinitializing PCI resources, and rio-scan.static_enum=1/rio-scan.scan=0 need to be specified to do static enumeration of RapidIO. [Test Case] TBD [Regression Risk] TBD [Impact] PCI clocks get initialized incorrectly causing issues with PCI-attached devices (SATA and network). RapidIO devices take a very long time to initialize. [Test Case] Boot - verify that SATA and network work, and that RapidIO devices initialize quickly. [Regression Risk] These command line arguments are used in testing today, just injected in a different way, so risk is low.
