I have the same problem on 10.10 (amd64).
Wei-Yee Chan (chanweiyee) wrote : | #4 |
The problem no longer exists for me after the recent update.
qin_sx, are you still experiencing this problem?

I have this problem now after upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10. Nothing appears in 'Active connections' area anymore, even after removal and re-installation of Firestarter. Does anybody know how to fix this, please

In 12.10 the problem persists in both 32 and 64 bits version.
It seems that the **conntrack tables from which information is extracted no longer exist in kernel.
Test with 13.04 beta yielded the same result. No active connections were shown.
max (maxilianus) wrote : | #11 |
I consider this as a major security risk, for it prevents users to oversee their active connections and take opportune actions against anything abnormal that may occur

Firestarter works for me in 12.04 (32-bit). After trying 12.10 and running into this bug, I have decided to stick with 12.04 until this is resolved.

Also, the firewall does not seem to be working at all.
