Bug Description
Binary package hint: firestarter
Suspected kernel bug. Using Gutsy firestarter unexpectedly closes. Only sometimes stays in system tray and then dissapears. Will not send mail on port 110 POP but will receive. Cannot connect to samba or nfs on home network even with firestarter switched off, have to unistall program completely to connect to network. No events being listed in firestarter even when deliberately running into the wall.

The unexpected firestarter GUI closing is reported as bug #120445. Samba issue is probably bug #183037.
I'm closing this as a duplicate of #120445, please re-open if your issue is different.
