These annoying freezes are happening in Thunderbird too.

Having the same symptoms, but this was resovled for me by turning off smooth scrolling (as commented on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/958852). Can anyone confirm if turning off smooth scrolling resolves this issue for them, as well?

Osman and anyone else affected,

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. This bug was reported some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Firefox since that time.

Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) reached end-of-life on May 9, 2013.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that was reported?

Please let us know if you do otherwise this bug report will expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.
