Bug Description

Firefox keeps randomly freezing periodically for no apparent reason.

It can happen as often as every few minutes, or as infrequent as every couple of hours. It also freezes often when the computer is started again from being suspended. It usually comes good after some time, but it's quite frustrating and makes it hard to get stuff done.

The closest step I can suggest for reproducing it is to suspend your computer with Firefox open. That often causes the freezes.

I haven't run into this when suspending, but often when closing tabs, firefox will go unresponsive and grey out for a while before eventually coming back.

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Firefox since that time.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported using currently supported versions of Firefox and Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do and in which version of Ubuntu otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.
