Bug Description

Hello !

I found a bug in Firefox 2.0.0.2 and I can reproduce it.

When I set the dowload directory on a different hard drive (hdb1 for exemple ), the files that I download are not good :
The files downloaded are files of 0 ko.

But if I set the home partition it works fine !

Feisty Fawn 7.04

Hello TrisoBoy,

Thank you for the bug report, can I ask what filesystem you are using on the second hard drive? Also which mounting options are you using, (take the line from /etc/fstab and paste it in here please).

Thanks, Alex.

I am using Ntfs for the second hard drive.

/etc/fstab/ :
# Entry for /dev/hdb1 :
UUID=1474C51C74C5018A /media/hdb1 ntfs-3g defaults,locale=fr_FR.UTF-8 0 1

I am using ntfs-3g.

Hello TrisoBoy,

I have seen this issue crop up a few times, I will talk to the rest of the team about it as I cannot find any duplicate reports at the moment, it is certainly a problem I have seen before, just cannot remember where exactly.

I will update this report soon, when I get more information.

Thanks, Alex.

I believe this is a bug in the download library of Firefox, so I am marking this as a duplicate of a bug affecting a FAT32 partition, however I believe the root cause is the same problem..

Thanks, Alex.
