Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Firefox crashed, and a crash report was generated. I had not touched Firefox for an hour or more, it was merely open on another desktop.

Please find the crash report here:

http://www.theory.org/~matt/crash/_usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash

I have the firefox-dbg package installed, so hopefully this crash report contains some useful information. I am not including the crash report as an attachment on this bug because all my previous attempts to attach files to launchpad bugs have failed with server errors.

I have the standard Flash and Java installed via the package manager:

Shockwave Flash 9.0 r31

Java(TM) Plug-in 1.5.0_08-b03

And these extensions:

Adblock 0.5.3.043
Diggler 0.92
Live HTTP Headers 0.13.1
Mouse Gestures 1.5.2
Stop-or-Reload button 0.2.2

I reported a similar bug once before but that bug report was closed:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/81863
I am only re-reporting this bug in order to provide the more detailed crash report.

This bug is completely intermittent and I have *no* *idea* how to duplicate it. For this reason, I was not able to reproduce it and produce a backtrace. Sorry.

In case we need more infos, we will come back to you.

Just one request to begin: You don't remember what site(s) were opened when firefox crashed?

I am also having a problem with intermittent crashes. The website causing the crash is www.deadspin.com. However, it only crashes about 50% of the time I open the webpage. Crash report is attached.
