Testing Oneric. Just applied updates this morning:

Now Ask.com is the only search engine in Firefox. It's fine if you guys want to add that--even make it the default--but don't outright REMOVE the same search engine that has been there since 2005...

If this helps anyone else who is affected by this before the package is fixed, I found this work around:
