Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Visit of this page http://lists.owca.info/admin/debian-slo crashes Firefox after update by Ubuntu. FF version is Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sl-SI; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20070102 Ubuntu/dapper-security Firefox/1.5.0.9.

My opinion is that is a critical bug.

Not that helps you since that bug has been open since hours after the update came out, an enterprising user has found the complete cause and even found the original bug report in Mozilla's Bugzilla database upstream which INCLUDES A PATCH! and yet the bug is still marked as unconfirmed/undecided and no comment has been provided by the Ubuntu FF maintainer.

Yes, this is really unfortunate and has forced me to install manually the official FF build from mozilla.org [Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9] in order to get rid of the annoying crashes!
