Firefox has no unity panel icon

Binary package hint: firefox

I started natty with the alpha and upgraded it trough beta to rc. Used chromium all the time, with rc i decide to install firefox, but it has no icon in the unity launcher when running.

I tried to reinstall firefox but it did not fix the situation. The bug is: If firefox was removed and reinstalled, it lacks his icon.

The chromium icon start firefox, so i pull the chromium icon from the launcher. One login later firefox got his icon back, think there is a quirk between the chromium and firefox package.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Is there a work around? It's been a year with no icon even though multiple firefox updates.
Is the above suggesting I have to install chrome to get an icon into firefox? I don't have chrome currently.
