I have the same problem with rendering of images in my Firefox browser. It happened after updating on new Ubuntu 11.04. It very annoys for me.
I attached some print screens of incorrect displaying images. If these images are saved, and open they in other image viewer, so they display correctly. If this site is opened in other browser images display also correctly.

This seems to be a problem with the color management, disabling the color management solves the problem in both firefox and thunderbird, add this line to you prefs.js (or about:config).
user_pref("gfx.color_management.mode", 0);

I'm closing this bug report by marking it "Invalid" as the issue was resolved by a configuration change. If anyone still has an issue with the current version of Thunderbird then new a bug report should be created both here and with Mozilla.

Changed in firefox (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
