Bug Description
There is no single set of steps to reproduce. Sometimes it happens when flash is running; sometimes it occurs after clicking on a link; sometimes it occurs while clicking on menus within firefox. This sometimes occurs with other (non-firefox) apps as well and appears to be a conflict with x or perhaps gnome. It didn't start happening until I performed an upgrade in Ubuntu from dapper to edgy.
The output always looks something like:
"The application 'Gecko' lost its connection to the display :0.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application."
It is also sometimes accompanied by a core dump.
