Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

From the http://www.cib.hu page, trying to launch the ibank.cib.hu internet bank applet, it won't start. The certificate cannot be verified. The issuer is not trusted. The issuer is netlock, which is the well-known Hungarian issuer, even Firefox knows it.
Something might have happened, because one (or two) month ago the ibank was working (though it may be true that only with a manually downloaded certificate, from netlock.net).
The bank says let's use another browser..

Solved (workarounded).
If I manually download (from https://www.netlock.hu ) a site-certificate file for ibank.cib.hu, and import it into (not Firefox, but the separate) "Sun Java 6 Plugin Control Panel", then the applet starts and works.
It seems that Netlock is missing from the "system" CA list, with which the "Sun Java 6 Plugin Control Panel" comes.

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an issue? Can the bug report now be closed? If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.
