Thanks for your bug report. Could you please install firefox-dbg and try to obtain a backtrace (or crash report) by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingFirefox This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

Thanks
David

Ok. I did it. I tried to reproduce the error but I got Firefox blocked after looking at a couple of flash interviews. I thought the problem is with flash.
I then tryed the same sequence by pointing to the ogg version. I looked at three interviews and after I went to the extensions and clicked on the download new extensions link. I looked for mouse gestures and clicked on the install now. Firefox crashed again. I attach the file.
Since this is my first time opening a bug I ask you to be patient if I did something wrong. I use Ubuntu since few weeks. Thank you.

I also followed the procedure for launching firefox from a terminal window with the command firefox -g 2>&1 | tee gdb-firefox.log, as described in the wiki. I followed the same procedure: go to java.sun.com, looked at three interwies in ogg format, opening the window 'extensions', following the link 'download new extensions', looking for 'mouse gestures' (that I had in a previous session disinstalled) and clicking on 'install now'. Firefox crashes. The output file is attached.

Thanks,
Dario

Sorry I forgot to answer these questions. I'll do it now:

flash: 9.0 d78 (libflashplayer.so)
Java plugin not yet installed
Firefox extensions:
    - Cooliris previews
    - Forecastfox
    - Foxmarks bookmark synchronizer
    - SmoothWheel

Ciao
Dario
