There seems to be a moderate number of reports with the same behaviour so unless someone thinks the opposite I'm going to merge those common reports.

I had the same problem on another site- my college's online course site called WebCT6- https://online.csus.edu. Don't know if it is of any relevance but the site uses java extensively.

Thanks for your bug report. We can not determine if this is the same
bug, so please open a new bug report by following the instructions on
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs
This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

It is of particular interest that you run apport-retrace -d against
your crash report before uploading since your crash report doesn't have
debugging symbols.

When you'll open that new bug report it will be very useful if you include
this information:

Is reproducible?
Which are the steps to reproduce the crash?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

Thanks.
