2010-12-03 19:53:06 Avi Greenbury description Binary package hint: firefox If I mount a network share (smb in this case) through Places->Connect To Server, there's no way to then save to it through Firefox's save dialog. Here I've mounted a share called 'wooster' on 192.168.1.1 and I'd like to save an image to it. Shouldn't I be able to find these under /media or somesuch? ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: nautilus 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.35-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Dec 3 19:36:34 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus Binary package hint: firefox 1. Mount a network share via Places->Connect To Server 2. Open Firefox or Chrome and try to save something to a directory on the share, note that the share doesn't appear in the places list on the left, and isn't mounted under /media either. Gedit does show it under the places list, though.
