Bug Description
In the Help -->About Firefox window, the latest Firefox in Edgy (2.0+0dfsg-
Downloading a version of Firefox directly from mozilla.org (I tried 2.0rc3) shows a more realistic date (Gecko/20061010).
So it seems there is something in the Ubuntu-specific way of building and patching Firefox that seems to reset that version date to an older and incorrect value.

I'm seeing seeing something similar, "Gecko/20061010" is missing altogether, I had to set it manually to make some pages work.
