live bookmarks not getting bookmarks

Binary package hint: firefox

in edgy, firefox 1.99+2.0rc2+dfsg-0ubuntu1 , I can't add live bookmarks at sites with rss feeds. I can click on feeds, and get the "add this feed with" dialog, but the bookmark isn't generated and I can't access it anywhere. Old rss feeds imported from firefox 1.5 still work fine, the problem seems to be solely with the generation of the bookmark.
