3) Thank you for reading this. What was expected to happen in Maverick Meerkat is when one fully updates, installs:

+ Flashblock plugin through Firefox (which does not populate in Synaptic Package Manager or Ubuntu Software Center, and shows in Firefox -> Add Ons)
+ mozilla-plugin-gnash via Synaptic Software Center
+ gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg plugin through Firefox GUI prompts

then goes to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xlkM9jD1xo&ob=av2n the stream works or prompts user to install proper codecs.

4) What happened instead is the Firefox window grey screened and remained so after 10 minutes and then I created this bug. I was just giving the technology a test drive, no big deal. If questions exist, please ask.

Quick follow-up, disabled Flashblock via primary clicking Tools -> Add Ons -> Extensions, then went to above website, did not grey screen and YouTube video window stated "An Error occurred, please try again later."

Not an upstream issue...gnash is broke for Youtube, update to 0.88 will help. Please close flashblock bug.
