Binary package hint: firefox

I am using Lucid Lynx, (10.04). Firefox updates always install what SHOULD be /usr/bin/firefox as /usr/bin/firefox.ubuntu. It is a simple matter to change it, but it is a bit of a pain.
The problem occurs whether via 'updates' or synaptic.
