Unable to play an MP4 file in Firefox

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

I have uploaded an MP4 file to a remote server, and retained a copy on my local computer. I can open and play the file resident on my local computer, but am unable to play the copy located on the remote server. I am using Ubuntu 10.4 with Firefox 3.6.8. I believe this to be an issue with the Linux version of Firefox as I can reboot the machine to windows and play the remote copy in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

As with most problems I have, I believe this to be a problem I have created by doing something wrong, or by not doing something I should have done. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find the problem. Any assistance or help you all can give me would be appreciated.

Please note, I have reported this before, but no longer have those emails, thus I do no know the issue number. Please accept my apology.
