Bug Description
In Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, Firefox does not use the new Ubuntu notification system (black pop-ups on the right-side of the screen).
Workaround: install the xul-ext-notify package. (this works for notifications when a download is complete, I don't know for the rest).
I guess definitive solution would be to install xul-ext-notify package by default.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 501393, so it is being marked as such. Please look at the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for the bug. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report. Please continue to report any other bugs you may find.
Also, not Mozilla has done as much as they can do with this, the only way to get this done at this point is to modify notify-osd so that's why that task is open on the other bug.
