Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Updated at around 01:00am BST; upon launching firefox, I now get a single window with the message:-

XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
Line Number 1140, Column 9: <toolbarbutton id="go-button"
--------^ <menuitem id="menu_HelpPopup_reportPhishingtoolmenu"
----^

It doesn't show very well, but the pointing is to to the "<toolbarbutton" and "<menuitem" opening tags.

Syntax error? Something more complex? Caused by the downgrade to 2.0b1 from 2.0b2?

Are you using Kubuntu, Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Edubuntu? I am using Kubuntu and Ubuntu, and both machines are updated recently. I do not witness this problem, nor can I create it by messing around with the menu buttons.

Did you install any extra "Extensions"? Extra buttons? Have you done anything to your Firefox setup that wouldn't make it "default"?

Changed in firefox:
status: Unconfirmed → Needs Info

Same problem here... You should wait for the language packs to be updated

Same problem here, also.

This is the error on my Ubuntu Edgy today's update (20060918):

XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
Line Number 1140, Column 9:
<toolbarbutton id="go-button"
--------^
 <menuitem id="menu_HelpPopup_reportPhishingtoolmenu"
----^

I remove firefox, (apt-get remove firefox) than I delete .mozilla home directory and I re-install firefox (apt-get install firefox) but I still receive XML Parsing Error.

Than I install Epiphany! ;)
