Here's a "Me Too" comment.
I have faced this whenever I tried something like this
http:// www.linuxized. com/2009/ 05/speeding- up-firefox- with-tmpfs- and-automatic- rsync/
When I move my firefox profile into the tmpfs directory and create a symlink to it from .mozilla
But that has not always been the case either. Sometimes the symlink was also to a "mozilla-profile" directory in the same parent directory as the .mozilla symlink.
Its a very random "error" but I've only faced this when I have done something like that ^
Sort of think that it is related to something in the firefox profile, but have not found anything concrete to pin point it on.
