2008-08-04 20:09:36 Michael Nagel description Binary package hint: mozilla-firefox I was not able to print a long web page, since it prints only the first one. It does also affect the print preview, which tries to fit the whole web page on one printer page. some web pages (example: show attachment) cannot be printed using programs like firefox2, firefox3, epiphany-browser, open-office-writer in ubuntu because the only the first page is rendered and the document is cropped thereafter. all of the programs can display the page but are unable to generate a printing version. i.e. printing on hardware printers, printing to software printers, displaying print previews and switching to print layout (open office only) shows only the first page. speculation: this is because certain html-entities (special tables?!?) are believed to be non-breakable where in fact they should be split onto two pages.

2009-03-18 04:17:09 Carey Underwood bug added attachment 'userContent.css' (userContent.css)
2009-03-18 04:22:42 Carey Underwood description some web pages (example: show attachment) cannot be printed using programs like firefox2, firefox3, epiphany-browser, open-office-writer in ubuntu because the only the first page is rendered and the document is cropped thereafter. all of the programs can display the page but are unable to generate a printing version. i.e. printing on hardware printers, printing to software printers, displaying print previews and switching to print layout (open office only) shows only the first page. speculation: this is because certain html-entities (special tables?!?) are believed to be non-breakable where in fact they should be split onto two pages. Some websites using particular layout techniques do not print or print-preview correctly in gecko-based browsers (firefox, epiphany, etc), causing an incomplete print if the site cannot fit on a single page. Typically, a header is printed on one page, and a single page of content on a second page, and nothing further. The technique in question is the use of css's "overflow: none" + inline-frames (iframe).
