Does nobinonly in package name mean that it is not intended to work? If so, it should not show up in update manager. So I guess it doesn't.

According to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs?action=show&redirect=DebuggingFirefox
I should run in debugger using
gdb /usr/lib/firefox-3.6/firefox 2>&1 | tee /tmp/gdb-firefox.txt

I have used gdb before but doing so now I only get this and I can not run in gdb.
GNU gdb (GDB) 7.0.1-ubuntu
...
...
"/usr/lib/firefox-3.6/firefox": not in executable format: File format not recognized
(gdb) run
Starting program:
No executable file specified.
Use the "file" or "exec-file" command.
(gdb)

I must be doing something very wrong.

Also, the icon of firefox in the list at the top is gone.

I have tried removing and reinstalling Firefox but it made no difference as far as I can see.

Back at my computer today.

Figured out how to use apport-retrace and made it from the bug to crash file. Attaching 3 new trace files unpacked from this, as I do not understand the verification to append directly to bug report.

Got Firefox to work by removing Icedtea Java Plugin. After that I reinstalled it again and Firefox is still working.

To all those affected,

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. This bug reported was some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Firefox since that time.

Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) reached end-of-life on May 9, 2013.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that was reported using currently supported versions of Ubuntu and Firefox?

Please let us know if you do otherwise this bug report will expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.
