There was some discussion here. Some people say that this should be an
enhancement request for a new option. That would indeed work, but my personal
opinion is that the way it is now is pretty useless. No need for another option,
IMHO.
There's also a problem with localization freeze. The best solution I see is to
automaticaly "select" (brrr, focus. focus! /off topic) tabs opened with left
click, and change the options string from:
- "a new tab in most recent window"
+ "a new foreground tab (/selected tab) in most recent window"
But there's the obvious problem of strings being frozen.
I still think new tabs opened this way should be "selected" even if strings,
when taken literally, say something slightly different.
