Start firefox
Open a tab and go to http://
Log in
Close the tab (ctrl+w or by clicking the tab close 'cross')
Result: segfault.

I've seen general instability in and around Gmail newer interface -- especially when tabs are involved. Try clicking "Older version" in the upper right of the page (near the settings link). I think this is Fx 3 only.
