Sorry for the slow reply here. As the dpkg terminal log suggests, a newer snapd and core snap were needed before trying to install the firefox snap. Did you try that at the time? I believe snapd should have figured that out itself, and if it didn't at the time, it may be fixed since then.
Are you able to reproduce this still? If not, we should probably close this bug.
