Contextual menu item 'copy image' inexistent

Im using mozilla-firefox with the es-AR language pack installed.
In the contextual menu on an image (with a link or not) the menu 'copy image'
doesn appear. (Copy image used to be an extension in old releases of firefox,
but now was integrated).

Just for clarification, this is for the enabling the copy image to clipboard
frontend on Linux, and not the back-end, which is Bug 21747.

This bug does not seem to have had any work on it for two years. Implementing copy and paste in firefox shouldn't be too hard; konqueror does it after all...

Would it be possible for an Ubuntu dev to work on this? Its very hard to look like a serious OS when your web browser can't even copy and paste an image file. The backend for doing this exists now (as the gimp and openoffice can both copy and paste pictures).

This kind of development belongs to ubuntu, but for mozilla dev team. It was reported as upstream. As it seems they won't do anything, I will close it as 'wontfix'
