Broken pipe errors on firefox close

Bug Description

Ubuntu desktop 18.04.1 up to date with kernel 4.15.0-39-generic @ 15/11/2018

every time firefox is closed, syslog spits out gnome-shell broken pipe errors like these:

Not seeing those when testing in a clean 18.04 VM, but it looks like others are seeing them: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1093181/shutdown-freeze

@ Oliver #3 no firefox works like a charm on this system
i cannot see breaking or unexpected behaviour GUI
only the syslog errors
