Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

However, it seems that you were trying to use a software package that was not provided by the official Ubuntu repositories. Because of this the Ubuntu project can not provide support.

Were you saying that you were not receiving automatic updates to Firefox so downloaded directly from their website?

You should now be using Firefox 61.0.1 if your system has been updating correctly. Please let us know if you are still having problems. If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in approximately two months time.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.

Thanks for the reply. I am indeed using Firefox 61.1 so it must be now updating.
