personal bookmarks gone after firefox update to this latest version

I've been off this system for several weeks so I had more than 90 updates present of which a number of files were not downloaded ( most for open office )

have you restarted your system/gnome after upgrade? Which package version are you running? Do a

dpkg -l firefox

in the terminal to get the version.
