Bug Description
Firefox 1.0.4 solves a number of bugs considered critical by the Mozilla
Foundation, yet it isn't available on the Ubuntu Security Updates.
As is, it isn't even possible to access the http://
since it explicitly checks for Firefox 1.0.4 and redirects to a download page if
the browser version is older, which is the case with Firefox provided by Ubuntu
(1.0.2).

Yes, difficult as it is to believe, this is the case: because some of the www.mozilla. org/products/ firefox/ upgrade/ ?application= %257bec8030f7- c20a-464f- 9b0e-13a3a9e973 84%257d
relevant security problems exploit the website itself, they have removed access
to all versions of firefox <1.0.4. This is the url that it redirects to:
http://
The only solutions I suppose are (a) to set up the patched 1.0.2 Hoary firefox
to give out its version as 1.0.4, or (b) to approach them with a view to
resolving the matter on their end.
