Bug Description

Arc-darc theme for budgie provides a comforting color scheme. However fonts and background colors in thunderbird (HTML messages) and firefox (input fields, text entries) are hard to read as the bgcolor and fgcolor differ only slightly (dark blue to dark gray).

Is there a way to fix this? (I tried to work myself through the css file but did not find any indication which element is responsible)

Known issue upstream. It is a years old Firefox issue - workaround as described here:

Hi G,
this bug has been eliminated on my computer a long time ago (I did a fresh install for 18.04 as well)

It seems as Alberto Donato (ack) has this issue still.

Hi G,
yes, I still see this issue on Disco with chromium and dark theme (this was a fresh install as well).

I'll try Eoan soon to see if it still happens there too.

Alberto, this issue was reported against firefox and thunderbird, not chromium.
The chromium issue is most likely a separate one, would you mind filing a separate bug for it at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+filebug ?
