Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

I have A-LINK 54USB -wlan
Sometimes I have to reboot my machine many times if I want to use the internet. And sometimes wlan works a while and then not.
If my machine is on and I power on my external adsl-wlan modem, I have to reboot to get the wlan work. So I have to always connect modem first, and then ubuntu-machine. In feisty I did't had this problem.

Wlan works at the moment but I get these messages in syslog in every three minutes:
Oct 17 21:00:13 unelma-laptop dhclient: DHCPDISCOVER on eth0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 6

I don't know why I put this to firefox-bugs, but this is not a firefox problem. Maybe kernel?

Wlan problem again, I have used this machine now two hours. Nothing happened for about three minutes but then it worked again. I did nothing to fix it, just waited.

Could someone move this report, maybe networkmanager is right place?

reassigning to network-manager for now. In the end this is likely to be a kernel-driver bug though.
