Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

There is no indication from the reporter that this is a bug about ubuntu-release-upgrader, so I'm removing the package.

I have the same problem.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Firefox 31.0

(process:6524): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed

The firefox applications opens normally when opened from Terminal, but not withouth throwing this error.
