Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozilla-firefox

A .url File can't be opened with a Linux Firefox Version. The Windows-Version can open that kind of File.

To test it:
- Drag&Drop a Url from the Adress Bar to the Windows Destop, and open the File under Windows.
- Copy the File and try to open the .url File under Linux. You will only see the Text.

(A default association to firefox in a FileManager like Nautilus would also be nice.)

Thank you for your feature idea. Anyway, new features of this kind should be implemented by the firefox developers. In order to get features into firefox you need to lobby upstream. Infos on the proper procedure for this can be found on http://forums.mozillazine.org/; read the sticky note about lobbying for features in "Firefox Features" forum.
