Gutsy Firefox crashes with spell checking enabled

Bug Description

Workaround: disable spellchecker (like in about:config -> layout.spellcheckDefault=0)

Gutsy Firefox crashes when opening a new post - even when opening a new launchpad bug report. Gutsy stays up fine.
Fresh install of feisty, upgrade to 1 May, change /etc/apt/sources.list feisty to gutsy, upgrade O.K.
If/when anyone's interested, what info can I gather to help debug?

Firefox also crashes on Yahoo Mail reply. AOL Mail reply worked. ? Cheers, Jerry

try to disable spellchecking for the time being. Fix will land with next upload.

Spell checking can be disabled by visiting about:config and changing the "layout.spellcheckDefault" preference to "0".

For Firefox, I disabled spell check with Edit, Preferences, Advanced, Check Spelling as I Type.

It works! Thanks! I think I'll keep Epiphany around , just in case.

Ouch! Today's Firefox Update:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070504 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.3

instant spell check works without crash, but:

What happened to the Fonts? They're so tiny I'm getting Eyestrain! Is that a separate bug?

Also, Office instant spell check still crashes, bug 111931.

Any help on restoring the font sizes and Office instant spell check crash appreciated. Jerry
