Can you please install sun-java6-plugin and than when thats done please run "sudo update-alternatives --config java" and choose the number beside java 6 that you installed Please comment on if this fixed it or not. I think this is the same problem that java6 fixed. that is why we backported it to dapper and edgy.

2007-06-19 11:19:34 John Vivirito description Binary package hint: firefox when i open http://www.de.map24.com/ and click on the map on the right side (interactive, java-based map), firefox usually closes immediately, sometimes after 10 seconds, clicking on the map. just before the crash, the cpu-usage goes to almost 100%. i don't even get the "report a problem..." dialogue, but when i open firefox again, it asks me whether to restore the tabs. i've got j2re1.4-mozilla-plugin installed. amd64 machine, ubuntu daily april 9th.
