Binary package hint: firefox-launchpad-plugin

Launchpad plugins as any Firefox extension need Firefox to be restarted to be visible.

An Ubuntu notification should advise to restart Firefox after this package installation.

requesting restart is something most extensions would need. we should put general logic in mozilla-devscripts at some point.

The magic should be definitively done by mozilla-devscripts. Any idea, how to implement this? postinst?

yes something like what dh_installinit etc. do.

but definitly needs some discussion up-front where to put/touch the file that indicates that an app needs to be restarted.

At best it would be a path guessable by the appid as that is how we could easily trigger notification in the right apps.
