Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
I updated 9.1 a couple of days ago and also upgraded firefox to 3.6. Since then Gmail has not been able to connect, and whilst I can run a google web search clicking on any of the results will cause the page to timeout. Some of the https sites I use like online banks also will not connect. Most other sites work fine. My computer is dualbooted with win7 and I use chrome in windows, which works perfectly.
Rebooting, disabling ad-ons and clearing history have no effect. Could there be some conflict with a recent java update maybe????

I'm having a similar issue with 9.10 (i386), and Firefox 3.5.9, over the last few days.
Entering a google search generates a suitable-looking URL, but google doesn't send back any data to render.
Interestingly, I have the user agent switcher installed, and if I switch to emulate a different user agent (e.g. IE7) and reload the google page (CTRL+F5), searches work fine. So possibly this is something to do with the user agent strings being sent when first making a connection to google?
If I go to google front page (with default user agent), and switch user agents before I search, it still fails. I have to load the original search page with the spoofed user agent in order to get it to work.
