complete kernel panic ubuntu 9.10 64bit during drag & drop

I'm a php developer.
I was using pchart for create onthefly a png (with alfa channel) image from php
So I call the php and I see the image.
HEADER OF THE PAGE sent as IMAGE/PNG with this instruction
// Render the picture
$Test->Stroke();
IF I made a DRAG AND DROP of the image on my desktop i have a complete freeze of the machine.
All of my monitor (2) are black and caps lock on my keyboard don't work.
Nothing to do. only hardware reset.
I have an ATI driver
After the reboot i have retry the same thing and again i have frozen again the sistem. ( 2 times on 2 )

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
