Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

I am using a HUAWEI E160G HSDPA usb stick to connect to the internet. When the connection drops and after I reconnect to the internet, almost every program does not seem to recognise that there is an available connection. This does not happen with wi-fi connections. To fix this I have to unplug/replug the dongle and sometimes I even have to delete my connection and create a new one.
This also happens if I restart the computer. When I do, I have to unplug/replug the dongle before I get connected to the internet. I use NetworkManager Applet 0.7.996, but I tried other programs to connect my modem, and they also have the bug.
