This shows up in at least one other application. Gedit thinks that "movie" is spelled wrong using the default language of English. If I change the language to "English (United States)" or "English (United Kingdom)", the spell check does not find any errors. OpenOffice Writer does not have this problem.

This appears to be fixed in Firefox 3.6.3 (and also gedit) on Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 with patches up to date as of April 15.
