missing history and bookmarks

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

After updating and restarting the system I started firefox.

Wanted to add a bookmark and duh - where are all my bookmarks ? All gone... complete empty man !
Ctrl-D not working.
Manage bookmarks opens an "empty" window.

profile rights are: 700 ( but never changed anything there! )

Also there is no history. And although I'm browsing around, the history keeps empty.

Please fix that as soon as possible - I just want to keep using firefox cuz it's the best !
