Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

it seems that on Ubuntu 9.10 (haven't tested other version, but on 2 systems it is the same), firefox, on nearing the completion of a file upload, starts to flood the memory. In most cases it will start using the virtual memory, which makes the system really unresponsive. I tested different uploads, with big files. 100Mb to 680Mb. On nearing the completion, you can suddenly see the memory increase allot, while during the rest of the upload, nothing spectacular happens. Looking at the System Monitor, the memory usage starts to increase rapidly, till a certain point, then in most cases it releases it at ones.

To be sure its firefox, the proces monitor shows allot of increase of memory on firefox, and a different browser wont show any extra memory usage (I tried it with IE6 through Wine).

Hope you can reproduce this issue...
