Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

I went back to my computer after lunch and tried to use the awesome bar to look for a certain bookmark, but it didn't work. Then I tried to open the bookmark menu, but "bookmarks" wasn't clickable. At all, the whole menu (File, Edit, etc) was not clickable. Anything else in firefox worked fine. (I could open a new tab, use the buttons, click on links) I started ubuntu-bug firefox to report the bug, while firefox was running. After the debug information was collected, firefox suddenly worked as I normally expect firefox to work. I never had this problem before. There was no error in the firefox error console.

I just got the same problem again. Additionally I noticed I can't use context menu. I do have the problem right now and now it seems it doesn't want to go away.

(firefox:2948): Gdk-WARNING **: XID collision, trouble ahead

I needed to copy this by hand, because apport only wants to publish my report at a new bug.

Changed in gtk+2.0 (Debian):
status: Unknown → New

@typo Just so you know you can run apport-collect <bug number> to add apport information to an existing bug report.

Also, the warning about XID collision is just a warning and shouldn't cause this bug.

Marking as invalid for now, since there is no way to actually remove this as effecting Debian.
