farmville application is not working properly since last update of ubuntu

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

there is a delay, a lag behind if you will, of the action taken with mouse. and weird graphic problems occasionally.
But only with this app, and only since this last update. using ubuntu 9.10 and farmville app on facebook
