Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
When switching from Twitter to links with video or audio, sometimes Firefox will not display the video frame. I have to shutdown Firefox and start a new Firefox process. Starting a second Firefox instance with the first instance still running does not work.
This does not always happen in Twitter, just a lot of times. If there is a way to reset Firefox without stopping it and starting a new session. I would be happy with that workaround.
This problem was present in the prior release, 9.04. I am not sure if the problem was present in 8.10.
Here are the hardware specs for the laptop's video:
System76 Gazelle Ultra Laptop
Display: 13.3" WXGA Glossy
Ultra-Bright LED backlit (1280 x 800)
Graphics: Intel X4500HD
Intrepid up-to-date as updates are available
This problem also happens with multiple tabs present, and might be related to bug 483908
